Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly reached an agreement with Galatasaray defender Victor Nelsson, according to reports.

Who is Victor Nelsson?

Nelsson is a Danish international who first arrived at the Nef Stadium from FC Copenhagen back in August 2021 and he’s since gone on to make 78 appearances to date, 31 of those being starts this season from 33 games in the Super Lig.

The Lilywhites have Clement Lenglet out of contract at the end of the campaign upon the expiration of his season-long loan from Barcelona, so should he not make his move permanent, Ryan Mason’s successor could be on the hunt to find a new centre-back, and the 24-year-old appears to have been identified as an ideal target in N17.

Are Tottenham signing Nelsson?

According to T24 (via Sport Witness), Tottenham “came to Galatasaray with a €25m (£21m) offer”, with the Turkish side now “working” on sanctioning his sale. The club's president Erden Timur “made a trip” to London to hold “transfer talks” with several clubs, one of those being Spurs, and despite not wanting to let him go, they have “softened their stance” as a result of him showing his “desire to leave”.

Nelsson, who has the versatility to operate slightly higher up in defensive and central midfield alongside his natural position in the backline, has scored one goal and also provided an assist across all competitions this term, so can be useful when it comes to set pieces and long balls in the final third.

Whether Tottenham’s new permanent manager will have his eye on the same targets as Daniel Levy is highlighting now when appointed yet remains to be seen, but regardless, Nelsson may make for an impressive signing no matter which candidate finds themselves in the dugout in the capital ahead of the 2023/24 term.

West Ham United has been urged to sign Southampton captain James Ward-Prowse in a sensational summer swoop.

What’s been said about James Ward-Prowse?

According to reputable journalist Paul Brown, he believes that the 28-year-old would be a fantastic addition to the London Stadium, ahead of his side’s relegation to the Championship.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, he said: “I think he's a leader, someone you can rely on, a great trainer, brilliant professional. I think he'd be a great signing for West Ham, and if Rice was to go, that would certainly sugar the pill a little bit."

This follows a previous report by the Evening Standard, which stated that the Hammers are prepared to launch a move for the 11-cap international, and David Moyes attempted to bring the player to east London last year.

It has been revealed by transfer insider Dean Jones that the Englishman could cost up to £50m, but due to the alleged £120m that the Irons could recoup from the sale of Declan Rice, this would certainly be a smart method of reinvestment.

Mac Allister would be perfect for Chelsea this summer, coming in and adding the youth and legs that have been missing at times this season, with age beginning to catch up with the likes of N'Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic.

While it looks as though he is off to Liverpool, the Blues should still do all they can to get him, considering he has averaged 2.1 tackles per game in the league this season, chipped in with 11 goal contributions and been hailed as a "very intelligent" player by former Manchester City and Argentina striker Sergio Aguero.

He has the rare ability to provide defensive stability and box-to-box quality, much in the way City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan does, and he could be a lovely foil for international teammate Enzo Fernandez at Chelsea next season. If they fail to get him, as looks likely currently, bringing in a player with similar qualities is vital in the coming months.

Has Raphinha shone at Barcelona?

The Brazilian has been linked with a summer move to St James' Park numerous times in recent weeks, as the Magpies look to make big inroads in the upcoming transfer window. He moved to Barca from Leeds United last summer, seeing it as an ideal next step in his career.

Raphinha hasn't necessarily been as influential as he was for the Whites, however, struggling to consistently start games throughout the campaign. In fact, the £100,000-a-week winger has only started 21 of his side's La Liga games, still managing to score seven goals and register six assists along the way.

It could even be that Xavi simply doesn't see the former Leeds man as an important part of his plans moving forward, instead deciding to sell him this summer and receive a hefty amount of money for his services, and a new update certainly suggests as much.

Could Newcastle snap up Raphinha?

According to Sport [via Sport Witness], Raphinha is "on the exit ramp" at Barca ahead of the summer window, with only Ousmane Dembele and Robert Lewandowski guaranteed to stay put at the Camp Nou. Is Akpom having a good season?

The 27-year-old is having a season to remember for 'Boro, proving to be one of the Championship's best players and even winning the division's Player of the Season award last month. He has been a relentless source of goals throughout the campaign, netting 28 times in 37 appearances and helping his side into the playoff places.

Akpom still has work to do this season, in terms of helping inspire Michael Carrick's into the Premier League, with some tense playoff games now on the horizon this month. Should 'Boro failed to return to the top flight, however, there is sure to be interest in their star player's services once the summer transfer window arrives.

The Englishman's current deal expires at the end of this season, meaning he could be snapped up for free if he doesn't sign a new contract at the Riverside Stadium. That's where Palace come into play, as they eye up attacking reinforcements in the summer, and namely a new centre forward.

According to TEAMtalk, the Eagles are "ready to launch a move" for Akpom this summer and are "drawing up plans to bid for the former England U21 international", implying a new contract won't stop their attempt. Gyabi, in retrospect, will be vying for an opportunity to prove that he deserves a place in Gracia's plans, and as such, the Spaniard must tinker with his squad and craft a new dimension in the fight to preserve top-flight status.

Hodgson took over his boyhood club back in 2017 and helped keep the Eagles in the Premier League for the four seasons under his leadership. He took charge of 162 competitive games with Palace and left on good terms after the 2020/21 campaign, saying:

As such, it was a very strange decision from Potter to withdraw him so early on in the game, with other members of the media lauding him as the ‘only positive’ in the team, also praising him for his ‘physical’ attributes.

The games do not get any easier for the Blues, with a trip to Tottenham Hotspur up next, and Fofana’s performance today means that he has surely put down a marker to start the next match, especially considering Aubameyang has just one goal in 11 league games this season.
